Dilution is a quality raiding guild that has been around since before the Burning Crusade. Wrath of the Lich King has brought many new challenges and experiences in which we will have to face and overcome; our passion to conquer end game content remains high.
We are looking for devoted players who are as excited about success as we are. We are a casual guild serious about skilled game play. We are now moving through 25 man ICC and preparing for hardmode content, and as such, we need people who have *minimum* Tier 10 or equivalent. We also are targeting recruits who have some high end raiding experience. Strategies are readily available online, so if you haven't read them, or cannot understand them, please don't apply. We are looking for raiders who can hit the ground running and get to killing bosses! Due to our focus on progression, we just don't have the time to gear up people that don't meet these gear requirements.
We raid 4 nights a week:
* Sunday 11pm-3am
* Monday 11pm-3am
* Tuesday 11pm-3am
* Thursday 11pm-3am
We require that members attend 75% of our raid nights, but 100% attendance will guarantee you a near-permanent raiding spot over a 75% attender. Attendance that falls repeatedly below this expectation will result in demoting to a non-raider status. Full members have loot and raid spot priority over non raiders and recruits. Full member status is reinstated after attendance returns to the required level. Please post known absences or breaks in the Attendance Forum.
As a recruit, you are required to be online and ready to go. Should the call go out for you to join our raid, we expect you to be there ASAP. As a recruit you will also be expected to help out with 5/10 man instances whenever possible. Recruits will also be a probationary member under evaluation until they reach 150k EP. This will be critical for us to see you play and to evaluate you on the following:
1. Attendance - make every raid on time and ready to go. If you cannot attend, we expect either a post in the attendance section or an officer informed. Continual absence without notification tells us we can't rely on you and will get you demoted to recruit, non-raider, or removed depending on the severity.
2. Perfomance - DPS/HPS/TPS depending on your role, we expect you to perform on par with the rest of the raid. Gear IS a consideration, but slightly undergeared members should still be able to perform along side everyone else within reason. Performance also includes following instructions and executing the necessary functions expected of you i.e. DPSing/Healing what you're assigned, moving out of hazards quickly, etc... whatever your role is, we have standards that we expect everyone to live up to. Everyone is also expected to know their respective class/spec completely. Spend time reading about your class (many like the EJ forums for this), if you have questions, disguss it with your officers or fellow members. Spend time on the training dummies working out rotations to maximize DPS (if it applies). We are all on the same side and have the same goals: bosses dead and shiny new toys.
3. Knowledge - We expect everyone to have a solid understanding of all the fights. Read strats, watch videos, whatever you need to know the fight and your role in it BEFORE raid. We aren't fond of 15 minute explanations with flasks ticking away because 1-2 people have no clue what's going on.
4. Preparation - Be ready to go, have enough consumables for raid, make sure you have all your gear repaired (and offset in bags if that applies). If you can't wait to gem/enchant a new item be sure to have the mats on you.
5. Attitude - there are: those that have excuses for everything, those that are too good for everyone, those that enjoy the attention that drama brings, those that cry and throw a fit if they have to sit out of raid, those that may be quality players, but for some reason or another, no one can play with them. Don't be one of "those" people.
6. Etiquite - Conduct yourself as a member of this guild at all times. Dilution has been around a long time and is well respected, we intend to keep it that way. Know that your actions in guild reflect on you, off the field reflect back on everyone as a guild, positve or negative.
During this probationary period you will accrue EPGP, but will not have loot priority or raid spot priority. If we consistently do not need you in the raid due to make up, special arrangements may be made to extend this period or evaluate you other ways.
At the end of this period you will become a member with full privileges. If your attendance wanes or drops during this evaluation period without good reason, you will be removed from the guild and cannot reapply for 2 weeks. We will not be wasting your time, so please don't waste ours.
Please take time to fill this application out completely so we can better judge your ability to progress with us.
PS: Posting a generic gearscore will do little to impress us, we can tell everything we need to know about your gear from armory links. Please make sure you're logged out in your raiding gear so we don't misjudge your equipment. What can impress us, however, are copies of combat logs such as World of Logs reports or whatever raid environment combat parse you have available. We've even had people supply videos...
