Deathwing is dead.  No really, he is dead this time. Sure, we thought he was dead when Thrall shot him out of the sky with the Dragon Soul, but this time the Aspects confirmed it and they’re immortal (well, WERE immortal anyway) and should know.
 
So now it’s on to Heroic modes. Between the release of SWTOR and the holidays, we “lost” many of our raiders for three solid weeks which made killing Deathwing a scheduling/party-mix obstacle to overcome rather than the mastering of the final expansion boss that is should have been.
 
The holidays are behind us, but SWTOR still has a death grip on many of our raiders.  To date, we are still down five members, two core raiders, and one officer.  We miss ya!  Sure would be nice to have you back … hint, hint, HINT.

And finally, if you’re reading this because you’re looking for a new raiding guild with “light” hours (only 9 hours/week), we are recruiting for Heroic modes.

Hey, look at that, we’re on a boat… again! This time however, Deathwing has conveniently taken out the enemy gunship for us, but in so doing, substituted his own minions in their place.  There’s also a strategy twist; this gunship battle requires us to run INTO the fire, rather than out.  While Warmaster Blackhorn was not initially the gimme that the original ICC “Loot Ship” was, we robbed him of his loot quickly enough anyway.

Huh? What’s going on?  Where did these parachutes come from?  I didn’t have a parachute on….  Wait, I’m not even an engineer!  And is that … Deathwing?!?  Hey, what’s that thing hitting me?  We’re in combat! Chaos ensues.

Despite his massive incomprehensible size, Deathwing’s spine, or rather part of his spine, seems a bit claustrophobic. How is that possible you ask? I can’t really explain it, but there it is anyway.  And those barrel rolls are some kind of magic hoax he’s playing on us. I mean really, I think I would notice if I was upside down!  Even Google does a better barrel roll.  Oh well, we just accepted the illusion, and pretended we were upside down while killing tentacles, bloods and tendons at the just the right time and before you knew it… pop, pop, pop…. Deathwing’s armor plates were off and Thrall blew him out of the sky.
 
Uh, oh, now we’re going to fall to our deaths and die a horrible burning death.  That was poor planning…

Oh wait; here are those mysterious parachutes again.  Well, I’m done questioning it. Looks like Thrall has a chest full of loot for us when we land.  Who cares where the parachutes came from!

Ok, so I lied.  I didn't mean to lie. I really meant to post sooner, honest. But in my defense I do have a really good excuse.  Ready for it?  Well, I am 36-weeks pregnant, exhausted beyond belief and with a litany of pains and side-effects you don't really want to know about so I won't go there.  For those of you wondering if this is a joke, nope it isn't.  People with my history with pregnancies would never joke about this.
 
So, if you've been wondering why I haven't been on much (except for raid nights), now you know. Well, a handful of you will know since we all know raiders don't actually READ THE WEBSITE. Yes, we do indeed HAVE A WEBSITE.  I know, crazy talk right?  Since it is crazy talk, in addition to the officers and a few other raiders who already knew (Adon, Haddyx and Yonder), I predict that about five more of you will now know "the news."  Oh, and BTW, for those that care, it's a girl.

Ok, so enough of that announcement.  Now that it's out of the way, I figured I would indeed post some boss kill pictures to keep this post at least quasi raiding-related.  So here are 25-man normal kills of the first four bosses in Dragon Soul.

We ended our first week of Tier 13 content at 5/8.  Of course, in all the excitement for the shiny new loot, no one remembered to take screen shots save for one boss;  the boss whom I have "affectionately" nicknamed the Button Boss.  Ever wonder how long it takes to teach 24 (then two sets of 10) raiders to push one button?  Well, we now know the answer to THAT question.
